“Throughout my career—whether working alongside students, teachers, school leaders, transportation teams, SROs, facilities crews, or parent groups—my focus has stayed the same: doing the work that helps students feel supported, engaged and successful. Each role has broadened my perspective and deepened my respect for the many people it takes to run great schools. I value that “whole system” view because student achievement is never the work of one person or one department—it’s the shared result we build together, day after day.
Eric Woodhouse, Associate Superintendent - Chief Learning Officer
“I began my career in education as a special education teacher because of my passion for helping students with disabilities achieve at high levels. This experience was pivotal in shaping my understanding of our education system and intentionally went into administration for greater advocacy. My administrative experience as a special education director, elementary principal, and school supervisor has given me a strong foundation in partnering with families and educators to create high expectations, meaningful support, and high-quality learning for students of all abilities. I’ve learned that the best outcomes come from clear communication, consistent follow-through, and a commitment to doing what’s right for students—especially when the work is complex.
“In this new position, I’m excited to work side by side with the exceptional team of educational leaders we’ve assembled to move learning across the district forward. I believe deeply in the purpose and promise of public education, and I’m committed to steady, collaborative work that keeps learning at the center—so every student continues to experience a world-class education within Aspen Peaks school district.
“I was born and raised in Idaho and came to Utah for college. I’m the second of five children (four boys and one girl), and my wife and I ended up with the opposite in our own family—four girls and one boy. Outside of work, my favorite time is with my family—hiking, taking road trips, working in the garden, or tackling a house project together.”
