This evening, the Aspen Peaks Board of Education approved an agreement that allows Timpanogos School District use of Aspen Peaks transportation facilities.

Timpanogos School District released the following statement:
The Timpanogos School District (TSD) is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with the Aspen Peaks School District (APSD) to manage student transportation needs as the district prepares for full operations in July 2027. Under a newly established Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), TSD will lease space at the APSD transportation facility located at 1405 South 100 East in American Fork.
This collaborative arrangement is designed to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective services for the district's anticipated fleet of approximately 80 buses. The agreement provides TSD with no fewer than 90 parking stalls and two and a half maintenance shop bays. To further enhance efficiency, the two districts will share five support personnel.
In a move to prioritize public stewardship, the TSD Board of Education has approved a creative
funding model for the initial three-year term. Rather than utilizing immediate cash reserves, TSD will satisfy lease fees through the exchange of property:
Years 1 and 2: Lease costs will be covered by transferring ownership of TSD’s allocated vehicle parts inventory to APSD.
Year 3: The remaining lease fees will be satisfied by transferring ownership of a portable administrative office trailer that TSD will install at the site.
This partnership allows the district to establish a fully functional transportation hub without the
immediate need for independent, redundant construction.
